The Austin Harm Reduction Coalition (AHRC)

Works to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C among injection drug users.
Provides HIV & Hepatitis C testing, drug treatment referrals, medical care, and resources to prevent disease transmission such as condoms, alcohol pads, and supplies for safe injection. Work is done from a mobile van, reaching directly into the communities most affected by HIV and Hepatitis C. |

Opened in the late spring of 2014 at University Medical Center Brackenridge to meet the needs of people in crisis, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
The emergency department provides urgent help and immediate options with a fully trained staff to diagnose and treat behavioral health emergencies. Behavioral health patients who need emergency medical care are treated first in emergency rooms at University Medical Center Brackenridge and other hospitals. Then, as determined by their treatment team, the patients will be transferred to the new psychiatric emergency department for evaluation after they are medically stabilized. |

As a top rated drug rehab center in Texas, Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) has an Intensive Outpatient (IPO) drug and alcohol rehab program that provides treatment to adolescents (ages 13-18) and adults to help them build a strong foundation for recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.
PaRC also provides family-centered counseling and education to help individuals support their loved ones during drug and alcohol treatment. Services are offered in the evening, which enables individuals to maintain their day-to-day work or school routine. The program consists of 24 sessions over a five-week period, during which patients attend group counseling sessions for a total of 10 to 15 hours each week. Texas Neuro Rehab

Provides complex medical and brain injury rehab, dual diagnosis and substance abuse treatment for adults and neuropsychiatric treatment for adults and youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges. The Ranch Achievement Program is available for children and adolescents between the ages of 8-17 and provides intensive psychiatric day treatment. The treatment team evaluates and treats psychiatric and behavioral symptoms that are too severe to be managed in outpatient therapy alone, but do not require a 24-hour controlled environment. |

Come hang out at CSR during our open hours, come to a support group meeting, attend a sober social event or just get in the loop about volunteer opportunities and upcoming activities. Students at other area schools are also welcome at our meetings. Programming includes student-organized and student-led peer support group meetings (some of which are 12-Step), as well as sober social activities, service opportunities and educational programming.
