The Tarlton Law Library is pleased to announce the opening of our new law student resources collection in the Hyder Popular Reading Room.

This new collection brings together the most useful law student resources in one easy-to-access location. The Hyder Popular Reading Room is located in the southeast PRR 117 (1)corner of the reading room on the second floor of the library. As you enter the reading room on Tarlton’s main floor, you’ll see the door to the Hyder Popular Reading Room straight ahead.

This collection features the most recent editions of our most popular study aids – including hornbooks, Examples & Explanations, and outlines – as well as titles on law school and career success. Although most exams are available online, the recent exams that we have in print are now located in this room as well.  There is also an informative display featuring the most recent issues of all twelve student run journals at UT Law.

The room has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible. You’ll see signs pointing out the various categories of materials and different legal subject areas. As you browse this collection, you can do so from comfy chairs or from the new tables set up for more serious study. Stop in today to get a head start on the semester!
