Visit our seminars page to find listings of scientific talks from both student researchers and invited guest speakers. In the Spring, look for updated information about the annual Louis C. Littlefield Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day. TGPharm, the college’s social event for researchers and faculty, is held twice during each long term semester (more information coming in the Fall).
Cancelled: 16th Annual Louis C. Littlefield Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day
Wednesday, April 15, 2020
Dear Pharmacy Research Community,
I am writing to inform you that the annual Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day (CPRED) event has been cancelled this year.
This is disappointing as we were poised to have our largest event yet with nearly 150 abstracts submitted and an expected number of registrations of well over 225!
As you know, COVID-19 is now an official pandemic. As a result, we will follow the prescribed practice of social distancing and hence the justification for the cancellation of the CPRED event.
Nevertheless, I am currently developing a mechanism by which our College of Pharmacy Community can share their research by making abstracts available on the Research Day web site as well as asking presenters of posters to provide a digital copy of their poster. I also hope to work with the judges to continue a mechanism for recognizing outstanding poster presentations in each of the categories of undergraduate, PharmD student, graduate student, postdoctoral fellow and residents from the applications we received.
Details of this process will be sent out to the registrants in the next couple of weeks; please do not send me anything now!
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support and participation in the college’s annual CPRED event.
