Poster Guidelines

Poster Session

This year’s event will be in the Student Activities Center (SAC). All who submit an abstract are required to display a poster and must be in attendance. Everyone must register here: (link coming soon)

Poster awards will be presented in each student category. Poster awardees will receive a ribbon designating their work as a “poster winner.” Their names will be published on the Research Day website along with those of the abstract award winners.

Please make sure you have your poster set up in the morning in SAC 2.410, before 9 a.m. If you are unable to make this time, please contact the Office of the Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies.

We look forward to seeing you at 10:25 a.m. for the beginning of this showcase research event for our College.

Poster Printing

Poster board frames are 8′ wide (96″) and 4′ tall (48″). If you are printing your poster at the College of Pharmacy’s Instructional Technology Development Lab (IDL), its plotter can print a maximum poster size of 86″ x 44″. The two options for paper width are 44″ or 36″.

The recommended size for Research Day posters is 44″ x 72″.

If you decide to have your poster printed at the IDL, create a help ticket for the LRC staff when you submit your abstract (which is due before March 2nd). When you submit a ticket, you will simply be getting on the calendar for printing; and, you will not need to have your poster content ready.

IDL Services and Charges

Due to high demand and limited resources, the Instructional Technology Development Lab (IDL) limits poster printing services to the College of Pharmacy for professional use only.

To offset the cost of high quality photo paper and toners, there is a charge of $15 per linear foot of paper used for posters. For example, a poster that is either 36 or 44 inches tall and 5 feet wide is charged at a rate of $75.

All charges are made via IDT. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a form to give to your faculty sponsor.  They will enter an account number and authorization.
