PHR 270C: Communication Skills for Health Professionals
This course emphasizes oral communication skills for health professionals, including pharmacy, pre-medicine, pre-dental, and nursing. From small to large group presentations, development of better oral communication skills will be emphasized as a key to greater personal and professional confidence.
PHR 384S: Introduction to Epidemiology and Pharmacoepidemiology
Prereq: Graduate standing; may be taken by students in the professional pharmacy curriculum with consent of instructor.
Principles of epidemiology; descriptive, analytic, and clinical epidemiology; epidemiologic perspective for health care management; epidemiology and the public policy process; pharmacoepidemiology.
PHR 185D: Responsible Conduct of Science
Prereq: Honors Program – concurrent enrollment with PHR 479H
Pass/Fail basis only.
PHR 322H: Research Design and Methodology
Prereq: consent of instructor or admission to the Honors Program
This course will cover the concepts and procedures involved with designing and carrying out a research project. Meets with PHR 390K.
PHR 382V: Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
Prereq: Graduate standing; and the following coursework: Chemistry 339K, and Pharmacy 342C, 252C (or 452C), 171P, 371S, or the equivalent; or consent of instructor.

Applications of protein, oligonucleotide, and related molecules as therapeutic agents: stability, formulation, kinetics, dynamics. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
