CV Writing 101
Fall workshop TBA
This event is hosted by Texas Career Engagement and will take place online.
Learn how to articulate your academic accomplishments within the specific conventions of the academic CV. We will also explore the possibilities for tailoring and persuasively positioning elements within the CV to match certain academic opportunities including fellowships. Finally, we will reframe the CV as a tool and “to-do” list that indicates areas where scholars can bolster aspects of their scholarly identity with intentionality as they progress through their training.
University Writing Center
- All graduate writers are working on multiple long-term projects. With a standing appointment, you and your consultant can pick up where you left off the previous week, and together you’ll build a rapport and be able to consistently target your individual writing strengths and areas for improvement.
- Standing appointments are a great way to strengthen accountability and maintain momentum. Even if you did NO WRITING during the week, we want you to still show up to your appointment to talk about what processes are working for you and what’s not. The UWC provides support for writing AND project management. Please note: If you miss more than two appointments, we will cancel the remaining appointments to free up that time for other writers.
