Campus Prepares For Workday Financial Playbacks – July 25-Aug. 5, 2016
Playbacks are an opportunity to update and inform campus stakeholders of the progress ASMP Workday has made while providing a forum to demonstrate what has been built in the system. Playbacks do not serve as redesign sessions, but are an opportunity for our stakeholders to:
• Provide feedback.
• Ask questions about what the project team has configured so far.
• Determine whether current applications and departmental third-party systems can be retired.
• Discover how campus processes will be implemented in Workday.
The sessions will cover business processes and other functionality related to the following Workday modules: Financial Accounting, Budgets, Departmental Projects, Customer Accounts, Procurement, and Expenses.
ASMP will contact the CSUs that have financial functionality in their third-party systems and applications, and will provide support as the IT Readiness Coordinators and their teams prepare for the upcoming Financial Playbacks.
Data Concept Mapping, List of Reports and IDS Deliverables, and Reporting Portal
Later in July, ASMP will begin publishing data mapping information that describes how legacy data concepts can be mapped to Workday where it is possible to do so. In addition, a list of Institutional Data Store (IDS) deliverables and Workday reports will be published to complement the Consolidated Integration’s and Data Sources List currently published on the ASMP Admin IT wiki. Weekly updates will be made to the data mapping and report lists in order to give campus further insight into what will be available.
A reporting portal is in the planning stages, and it will provide a “where to find it” one-stop-shop that will provide links to reports, regardless of where they can be run. The portal will be keyword searchable and provide the ability to look up data definitions for terms and concepts represented in reports and other data services.
