Workday Deployment Planning Manager Onsite
Ron Hash, the Workday deployment manager, has recently joined ASMP. Ron has a background with enterprise-wide transformation projects, including HR, Payroll, and Financials. He also has experience with transitioning from legacy technologies to modern platforms at organizations such as the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), Dun & Bradstreet, and several Austin dot coms. As the deployment manager, Ron’s responsibilities cover pre-go live planning and coordination, go-live execution and contingencies, and post-go live support (until handoff to ongoing operations). Ron will be working with the project, technical, and CSU teams in order to collect, evaluate, and plan for all factors that must be scheduled and executed at go-live, including the coordination of business processes, technical cutovers, and conversion and validation of data. Ron has begun developing a high-level deployment strategy, a detailed plan, and go-live checklists. As the deployment work evolves and details emerge, we’ll share them with the community and provide mechanisms to gather your feedback. If you have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
UTLearn Phase 2
After the successful April 2016 launch of phase 1 of UTLearn, the university’s employee training management system, 40% of courses taught in a variety of mainframe-based systems have moved to UTLearn. Scoping, evaluating, and planning for phase 2 is underway. It is expected to include moving all employee training currently on legacy systems to UTLearn and providing access to appropriate non-employees. Phase 2 implementation is currently scheduled for late Spring 2017.
