Any current or former undergraduate student at UT Austin is welcome to join Bridging Texas in making a difference in our community!

Bridging Texas expands what it means to spend quality time with seniors. Our various programs are designed with busy college schedules in mind. Many of our programs allow flexible schedules for our members to volunteer whenever they are available throughout the day or week. Check out our FAQ for detailed information!

During the Fall 2019 semester, Bridging Texas collaborated with volunteers from 4 organizations on campus. In September – December 2019, 72 volunteers engaged in various activities with 24 residents. In total, Bridging Texas organized approximately 270 hours of service that were dedicated towards improving the lives of seniors in our Austin community!

Bridging Texas members contribute membership dues of $5 per semester. This funds policies such as background checks that are conducted (free of charge) for all Bridging Texas volunteers to ensure the safety of our volunteers and residents.
