Traffic from Social Media Sites to Our Websites from 9/4/15 to 10/4/15

Social media sites are ordered based on how much traffic they refer to other sites.

Global Stats

  1. Facebook 84.13%
  2. Pinterest 6.38%
  3. Twitter 4.79%
  4. Tumblr 1.81%
  5. Reddit 1.35%
  6. StumbleUpon .81%
  7. Other .73%

Facebook generates far more traffic than other social media sites, both globally and on our university sites. Pinterest generates a good amount of traffic globally, but currently has little impact on our university sites.

University Home Page

  1. Facebook 60.70%
  2. Twitter 14%
  3. Reddit 10.34%
  4. LinkedIn 3.31%
  5. StumbleUpon 2.63%
  6. Tumblr 2.61%
  7. Other 6.41%

The University Home Page receives a good amount of traffic from Twitter and Reddit. Facebook accounts for a smaller percentage of social media traffic than on our other sites.

College of Fine Arts

  1. Facebook 76.99%
  2. Twitter 11.17%
  3. Pinterest 5.97%
  4. LinkedIn 4.1%
  5. Weebly .68%
  6. Other 1.09%

The College of Fine Arts receives more traffic from Pinterest than our other pages receive.

Butler School of Music

  1. Facebook 90.82%
  2. Twitter 3.93%
  3. Naver 2.01%
  4. tinyURL .89%
  5. Tumblr .61%
  6. Reddit .54%
  7. Other 1.2%

Butler School of Music gets some traffic from Naver, which may be related to streaming events.

Art and Art History

  1. Facebook 87.88%
  2. Twitter 8.92%
  3. Blogger 1.02%
  4. Tumblr .79%
  5. Quora .41%
  6. Pinterest .36%
  7. Other .62%

The Department of Art and Art History is the only site getting traffic from Quora. They also get more traffic from Blogger than our other sites.

Theatre and Dance

Apart from Facebook, Theatre and Dance receives most of its traffic from Twitter and Tumblr.

Landmarks gets more traffic from Twitter than any of our other sites.

Texas Performing Arts receives some traffic from TripAdvisor and Yelp, possibly due to its focus on events.
