This is the FINAL volunteer call for the Spring Communication Job and Internship Fair!

Thank you to those who have already signed up!  We still need volunteers for the following time slots:

8:30am-10:30am, 10am-12pm, and 12pm-2pm

The fair will be held on Wednesday, March 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the DKR Stadium.

Now Accepting Applications: Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program

The McNair Scholars Program is currently recruiting and accepting new students for the 2015-2016 cohort. We are looking for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing doctoral degrees who are first generation and low-income, and/or traditionally underrepresented in graduate education.

All McNair Scholars obtain a faculty mentor, work on an independent research project, receive free GRE prep (up to $1,200), and are eligible for up to $7,500 in scholarships and awards for participating. Our application deadline is Friday, April 4th, 2015. More information and the application can be found at utmcnairscholars.org.

UTeach-Liberal Arts Hosts Exclusive Roadtrip Nation Screening

Dear UT Community,

UTeach-Liberal Arts will be hosting an exclusive screening of the documentary The Road to Teach next week.  The film is based on the Roadtrip Nation series which follows students in a RV as they traverse the country interviewing pioneering educators.  We invite you to come and join us for the screening and a Q/A with UTeach’s very own Grace Worm who appears in the film.

Spring Communication Job & Internship Fair Invite

Mark your calendar for the Spring 2015 Communication Job & Internship Fair that will be held:

Next Wednesday, March 11th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm in the DKR Stadium-The Club
Entrance: North End Zone, Gates 14 & 16

Over 100 employers are registered to attend the fair, including advertising agencies, print and broadcast media, social media, Fortune 500 companies (retail and consumer products), public relations agencies, non-profit, government and educational institutions.

Freshman women: You are Invited to an INSPIRE Information Session

INSPIRE is a three-year revolving program serving sophomores to seniors that helps women develop the skills they need to achieve the highest levels within their chosen academic fields.

All freshman women from any major are eligible to apply. Applications for this three-year program are now open.

Stop by anytime between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to learn more about the program, talk to facilitators and current INSPIRE participants, and enjoy some cookies!
