The Press in the Trump Era: How Did We Get Here? What Do We Manage Now?

Three national reporters who covered the 2016 presidential election will discuss Feb. 2  “The Press in the Trump Era: How’d We Get Here and How Do We Manage Now.”

 

The panel comprised of three University of Texas graduates kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Moody Auditorium on the second floor of the Belo Center for New Media. It is hosted by the UT campus chapters of four journalism organizations (The Society of Professional Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association and National Association of Hispanic Journalists).

 

Panelists include Krissah Thompson, The Washington Post reporter who covered Michele Obama; Abby Livingston, Washington bureau chief of The Texas Tribune who covered the election; and John Burnett, NPR’s national correspondent for the Southwest.
