UT Nursing – Speed Simulations
It will soon be time for our Nursing Students to begin their Speed Simulation Experiences,
which also means we need Volunteers to portray “fellow nursing, medical staff, and families.”
This exercise will teach our students what is involved in Emergency Situations once they enter the workforce.
Dates and Times:
Thursday, March 9th from 12:45-3:00 & 3:00-5:00.
Thursday, March 30th from 12:45-3:00 & 3:00-5:00.
There are two spots available each day, but you are welcome to sign up for the entire shift from 12:45-5:00.
If this is the case, please add your name to both spots on the sign up.

Volunteers are needed to pose as Family Members, Charge Nurses, Physicians or Respiratory Therapists who are aiding our student nurses in providing emergency care.
Also incorporated in the Simulation Experience are some brief descriptions of the role you will provide. The faculty encourage open participation to let your acting ability to fly.
It is good to have students play out challenging communication scenarios, such as, family not understanding and/or scared patients, etc in challenging situations.
