The Moody College Of Communication Student Advising Office is looking to hire some more student workers for the upcoming spring semester and are hoping you may be able to send some potential applicants our way. Specifically, we are seeking candidates that are dependable, punctual and eager to help our office function well and achieve its mission.
The following is a list of the job duties for the position:
-Provide excellent customer service to all who come into or call the Student Advising Office and serve as the first point of contact.
-Assist students who come to the Student Advising Office by checking them in for advising appointments, making advising appointments for them and walking them through the paperwork procedures to drop courses or withdraw from all of their courses.
-Scan student documents and ensure that they are scanned correctly.
-Run errands, assemble informational folders and mailings and assist the student deans and front office staff with other administrative tasks as directed.
Qualifications for the position include:
-Previous customer service experience
-Strong interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to multitask
-Reliable and punctual work ethic
-Student in Moody College
Applicants must be available to work at least 10 – 12 hours per week. The shifts that we have open are as follows:
Monday: 8 – 10 am
Tuesday: 8 – 10 am, 10 am – 12 pm, 12 – 2 pm and 2 – 5 pm
Wednesday: 8 – 10 am
Thursday: 8 – 10 am, 10 am – 12 pm, 12 – 2 pm and 2 – 5 pm
Friday: 8 – 10 am
