Sleeping Your Way to Academic Success

In this talk we will explore the science as it relates to what we know/suspect is true about sleep and roles that sleep plays in learning and memory. We will learn to apply information about sleep improvement to our own lives to strengthen the sleep-wake (circadian) rhythm of our lives. Sleep is health and health is success.

We hope this will give Signature Course faculty and students another avenue to further connect first-year students with distinguished faculty members. We designed each event to help new students appreciate the value of research, critical thinking, and scholarship at a major research university.

The University Lecture Series is open free of charge to the general public, as well as all staff, faculty, and students at the university.

Videos of our spring lectures will be posted to the University Lecture Series web site ( ). To view archived ULS event videos (including our most recent events) please follow this link: .
