Presentation: Navigating Treatment Complexities for Patients with Injection-Associated Endocarditis
Dr. Tommy Brothers is a resident physician training in internal medicine and addiction medicine at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is a Certificant of the International Society of Addiction Medicine. His clinical and research work focuses on improving health care for people who are socially excluded, including people experiencing homelessness and people with severe addictions. He is leading the development of an interprofessional hospital addiction medicine consultation service and works with the HaliFIX Overdose Prevention Society, helping to implement and run Atlantic Canada’s first safe injection site.
