Presentation: Pain Management Considerations When Transitioning Of Care

Dr. Dalal currently serves as an Associate Professor of the Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Services at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, providing symptom control and palliative care services to patients with advanced cancer and their caregivers at the institution.

Dr. Shalini Dalal received her medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland and further pursued training in Palliative Medicine at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Her primary interests include management of symptom distress such as pain, anorexia, and cachexia in advanced cancer patients. She has been the Team Leader in formulating the MDACC Cancer Pain Guidelines.
