Presentation: Antimicrobial Stewardship
Andrew Hunter, PharmD, BCPS is Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Residency Coordinator, PGY2 Residency in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Practice at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and completed post-graduate residency training in Pharmacy Practice at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Practice at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2012, Dr. Hunter became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He is a member of ACCP, ASHP and the Houston Infectious Diseases Network. He is an Infectious Diseases preceptor for PGY1 and PGY2 residents at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and pharmacy students from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston. His research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, antifungal agents and HIV/AIDS.
