About

Sterile Compound Update

The Sterile Compounding Update (formerly named IV Update) is an application-based activity designed for IV-certified pharmacists and technicians, who wish to earn either 2 hours or 4 hours of sterile compounding CE credit.  The course aims to expand participants’ professional skills and expertise in areas relating to sterile intravenous admixtures.  Whether you are involved in low-risk, medium-risk, or high-risk compounding, this course can meet your TSBP requirements and your educational needs!

Using an interactive approach, the instructors will introduce essential concepts, explain new and important updates, and reinforce compounding skills using live and video demonstrations!

Along with the regular 4-Hour Sterile Compounding Course, we are also offering a 2-Hour Sterile Compounding Course (7:15 PM-9:30 PM) this year, to accommodate those who are unable to arrive by 5:00 PM for the full 4-Hour option (5:00 PM – 9:30 PM). The 2-Hour option is also intended for those who only want/need 2 hours of CE to satisfy their TSBP sterile compounding requirement.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  There is not a 2-Hour registration fee offered for 5:00 PM – 7:15 PM.  The 2-Hour registration fee is ONLY offered for 7:15 PM – 9:30 PM.  See the YELLOW registration chart down below to register for the 2-Hour CE option.

NOTE: As of September 2015, the new TSBP rule (291.133) sets forth specific CE  requirements to maintain Sterile Compounding (IV) certification.  This course can be used to meet your required CE hours.
