Friday, September 15, 2017 • 5:00 – 9:30 PM • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Austin

Sterile Compound Update

The Sterile Compounding Update (formerly named IV Update) is an application-based activity designed for IV certified pharmacists and technicians, who wish to earn up to 4 hours of CE credit to expand their professional skills and expertise in areas relating to sterile intravenous admixtures.  Whether you are involved in low-risk, medium-risk, or high-risk compounding, this course can meet your TSBP requirements and your educational needs!

NOTE: As of September 2015, the new TSBP rule (291.133) sets forth specific CE  requirements to maintain Sterile Compounding (IV) certification.  This course can be used to meet your required CE hours.

This course incorporates exciting simulations and hands-on exercises to teach important skills in sterile compounding of hazardous drugs.  Attendees participate in simulated activities and practice with their own compounding supplies! Using an interactive approach, the instructors teach essential concepts, introduce important updates, and reinforce compounding skills using live and video demonstrations.
