Bio:
Brendon Hogan obtained his BA in Biochemistry from the University of North Texas in 2010 and his Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. He completed a PGY1 General Pharmacy Residency in 2016 and a PGY2 in Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency in 2017 at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) in Temple, Texas. He then began work in the outpatient mental health clinic at CTVHCS doing medication management and using non-traditional treatment modalities such as auricular acupuncture and cranial electrotherapy stimulation. In 2018 he became Residency Program Director (RPD) for the PGY2 program and in 2019 he became a certified trainer for Battlefield Acupuncture. He is currently the Clinical Pharmacy Manager for the Mental Health and Pain Clinical Pharmacy Specialists (CPS) and interim Team Lead for the Temple Mental Health Clinic. He also teaches an online Pharmacology and Psychopharmacology course to Nurse Practitioner (NP) graduate students at Saint David’s School of Nursing Texas State University. He serves on multiple committees at the VA and UTCOP. He lives in Temple, Texas with his wife, Marie, daughter, Indiana, and two cats, Sophie, and Greg. In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, riding, hiking, yoga, podcasts, and streaming shows with his family.
