UT towerThe Business and Financial Services (BFS) department was formed within the Campus Planning and Facilities Management portfolio at The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. In 2014, BFS became part of the Financial and Campus Services portfolio in University Operations. The BFS mission is to provide financial resource management in support of its University Operations clients.

With a staff of approximately 43 employees, BFS serves more than 1,200 clients with expenditures over $250 million annually. We deliver services in the fields of accounting and finance, warehousing and procurement, and training.

NEW! The BFS Personnel unit is now part of Central Human Resources (HR) and is called University Operations HR Services (UO-HRS).
