Job: Experienced Translators (State, Religion, and Church in Russia and Worldwide

Deadline for Applications: Ongoing

The journal State, Religion and Church in Russia and Worldwide publishes original submissions as well as translations of peer-reviewed articles that appear in its parent journal, Государство, религия, церковь в России и за рубежом (published under the aegis of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration). Its mission is to bring Russian contributions to religious studies into conversation with global developments in the field. We currently publish two issues a year in an electronic format.

We are looking for a few good translators who might be willing to translate an article once or twice a year. It is important that they have a scholarly background, are familiar with Russian religious terminology, and have some experience with translation. Our pay scale changes with the rise and fall of the ruble, but we are currently offering 600 rubles a page (1800 characters with spaces–approximately the same as an American 250-word page). If this sounds interesting to you, please be in touch so we can speak further.
