Prof. Devel: Meeting Russia (PICREADI)

The Center for Support and Development of Public Initiatives Creative Diplomacy (PICREADI), a Russian NGO working in the field of soft power and public diplomacy, has the pleasure to announce the launch of its new project, Meeting Russia.

For the first time, Creative Diplomacy presents this unique English-speaking public diplomacy program for young leaders from the United States and the European Union interested in the relations between Russia and the West. Meeting Russia will bring together 20 young representatives of government institutions, parliaments, think tanks, media and private sector, experts and journalists from the United States and the EU countries, as well as from Russia itself.  The program will provide young professionals from the West with an opportunity to get a better understanding of the Russian foreign policy system. It will also serve as an open space for peer dialogue on international issues between participants from different countries.

The program will take place in Moscow on February 15-19, 2017. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2016.

Candidates wishing to participate should meet the following eligibility requirements: be between 20 and 35; be a citizen of the United States or an EU country (applicants from Wider Europe may also be considered.) Applicants should be active in the following fields: universities, scientific and analytical centres working on international relations and Russian studies; media; NGOs active in the field of international relations; government; or private sector (business and other spheres).

In order to apply, candidates should submit a resume, a motivation letter, and a guarantee letter (a letter in free format addressed to Creative Diplomacy confirming that the applicant agrees to cover part of expenses associated with the program by herself/himself (travel costs, insurance, visa fees)), and if available, a list of publications.

Creative Diplomacy will cover accommodation, meals and can also provide a limited travel grant (each case will be considered individually).
