Travel: US-Russia Forum (Stanford U.)

The Stanford U.S.-Russia Forum (SURF) is now accepting applications for its 2017-18 program and would like to extend an invitation to students to apply.

About SURF: SURF is a platform for Russian and American university students to work together on some of the most important issues our nations face today. Participants travel to Russia for a five-day conference in the fall, conduct collaborative research over the academic year, and ultimately present their conclusions at a capstone conference at Stanford University in the spring. Participant papers are published in our annual scholarly journal. Research themes include topics in international relations, the hard sciences, cyber and nuclear security, business and entrepreneurship, regional and humanitarian issues, and others.

Delegation Information: SURF welcomes applications from graduate, professional, and undergraduate students in all academic disciplines and majors, regardless of prior exposure to Russia or the United States. The program covers most expenses, including housing and local transportation. Participants are responsible for covering flight and visa costs. There is no registration or participation fee for the program.
