Study Abroad: Summer Internships in Novosibirsk(“Cosmopolitan” Education Center)

Educational Center “Cosmopolitan” invites participation in language & creativity summer camp as an international intern teaching English to Russian children and supervising a creativity workshop from mid-June until early August, 2018. There are spaces available at each of the three summer sessions that will be located in the beautiful Altai area and in the delightful countryside just outside Novosibirsk.

The dates of 2018 summer camp sessions are as follows:
Session 1: June 9th – June 18th (Novosibirsk session)
Session 2: June 28th – July 11th (The ALTAI Republic summer camp session)
Session 3: July 11th – July 24th (The ALTAI Krai summer camp session)

The summer camp theme is “Linking the Planet” and each day of the program has its own topic. The program combines language instruction (English, German, French, and other languages, for local Russian students, and Russian for overseas students and volunteer teachers) with organized activities (arts and crafts projects, workshops, music and drama, games and contests, art and drawing, inventive engaging performances and shows, sports and outdoor activities, excursions).

The Center is looking for native speakers of English, German, French, Spanish and other languages, who would like to be Volunteer Teachers of their language and/or Volunteer Creativity Workshop Coordinators at our summer language camp. No previous teaching experience is required. University students are eligible to apply as volunteer teachers/creativity workshop coordinators. Teaching at the camp can also be considered an internship with all necessary paperwork. The Center is looking for people who are energetic, enthusiastic, open-minded, sociable, enjoy camp experiences, are willing to share their knowledge and culture.

Tours of Novosibirsk and trips to the beautiful Siberian towns of Tomsk, Irkutsk and to magnificent Lake Baikal will be organized between the camp sessions. Before or after the camp participants may consider going to the world cup that Russia will host this summer.

To enroll-  complete the application form and submit it as far in advance as possible. This will insure that there will be space available within the selected timeframe. The completed application must be accompanied by the bank confirmation of payment of the non-refundable application fee. No application will be processed until this fee is received. In addition, a photo and a copy of the passport page(s), which contain the information as follows: full name, date of birth and birthplace, citizenship, country of residence, passport number and date of issue, should be included.

Upon receiving the application package and fee, the Center will e-mail a confirmation of acceptance for the program and will apply on the participant’s behalf for an official letter of invitation, which is necessary to obtain your Russian visa at the Russian consulate in your country.
