Academic Job: Asst. Prof. of Central Eu Studies (UNC-Chapel Hill)

The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://gsll.unc.edu/) invites applications for a full time, tenure track position: Assistant Professor (Working Title: Laszlo Birinyi, Sr. Fellow) in Central European Studies to begin July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will maintain an active research program, teach a range of courses in Central European culture, literature, and/or film, and perform service for the department and other units in the university such as the Center for Slavic, Eurasian and East European Studies.

Doctorate (or foreign equivalent) in Germanic Languages and Literatures, Slavic Languages and Literatures, or a related field by July 1, 2019 required. Candidates should have a strong research portfolio that includes Central European literature, film, or other media.
