The Summer Language Institute (www.sli.pitt.edu) at the University of Pittsburgh is proud to announce that we are accepting applications for summer 2020. We offer intensive language courses through a variety of domestic, study abroad, and hybrid (Pittsburgh+abroad) programs in the following languages:
Arabic (Beginning)
Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (Beginning-Advanced)
Bulgarian (Beginning)
Czech (Beginning-Advanced)
Hungarian (Beginning)
Polish (Beginning-4th-year)
Russian (Beginning-4th-year)

Highlights of SLI programs:
- 2 semesters-worth academic credit (6-10 credits) in one summer
- Generous scholarships available, all applicants eligible to apply for scholarship support (including out-of-state students and not-currently enrolled language learners)
- Semi-immersive and immersive language environments
- Cultural learning through films, lecture, singing classes, arts and crafts, extra-curriculars, excursions, ethnic picnics, and more
- A diverse student body of undergraduate and graduate students from institutions all around the country and highly-motivated adult learners
SLI celebrates a 31-year tradition of passionate teaching and proven results.
