The Department of Russian Language and Literature at Dartmouth College invites applications for a full-time visiting faculty position. Appointment to this position will be for a term of one year beginning September 1, 2020, and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian.

The successful candidate will teach a total of five courses, including Russian language courses at both the introductory and intermediate level and several courses in Russian literature and culture in translation, which will include at least one course on a topic of the candidate’s own choice. The candidate will also participate in and contribute to a range of the Russian department related activities outside the classroom.

Among the qualifications required for appointment are a Ph.D. degree in hand or expected by summer 2020, native or near-native Russian and English, and evidence of successful teaching experience in both language and literature.
