Second and Third Year Russian Online Courses (Yale University)

Yale University Summer session is accepting applications now for Second and Third-Year Russian online. The Second-year Russian (Russ 130/140) is a sequel to Live from Russia Stage One, entitled Welcome Back! It is also built around a contextualized video story of Kevin, Misha, Tanya, Olya et al. and uses a four-skill approach –reading, writing, listening, and speaking with the emphasis on grammatical structure and communication practice. Prerequisite: First-Year Russian or equivalent proficiency

The Third- Year Russian (Russ 150/151)  involves a comprehensive review of the essential aspects of Russian grammar, extensive vocabulary building for social sciences and history, as well as practical vocabulary necessary for everyday conversations and activities in contemporary Russia. Readings in Russian literature and Russian media supplement the basic course materials. Prerequisite: Second-Year Russian or equivalent proficiency
