Fall 2023 EChO Officers

 

President: Preston Davis

Preston is a third-year mechanical engineering student from Keller, Texas. He has enjoyed playing the piano for 12 years and the trombone for 7 years. In the future, he hopes to contribute to the movement toward renewable energy and create a more sustainable world. Preston’s favorite classical composer is Rachmaninoff, and in his free time, he likes to listen to music, spend time with friends, and play more Mario Kart than he should at his age.

Vice President: Dean Ernesto Leyva

Dean is a second-year computer science major from Houston, Texas. He has been playing the cello for roughly 8 years. In his free time, he likes to get together with friends, go to coffee shops, play video games, and bake. He looks forward to serving ECHO as its vice president.

Secretary/SEC Representative: Sumedh Thopte

Sumedh Thopte is a junior studying civil engineering. Along with being secretary for EChO, Sumedh will also be treasurer for the American Society of Civil Engineers. Sumedh loves to play volleyball, binge watch movies and Spider-Man. Feel free to ask him any questions or just talk to him, he would love to get to know you more!

IT Director: Casey Truong

Casey is a senior accounting major from Houston, TX. She has been playing the viola for just over 11 years. Outside of EChO, she is active in the Asian Business Students Association and Gigglepants Improv. Casey is also a massive Swiftie! She is excited about another great year with EChO.

Recruiment Coordinator: Brian Earle

Brian Earle is a fourth-year genetics and genomics major from Seabrook, TX. He has been playing the violin for 10 years. In his free time, he likes to read, bake, and play video games.

Treasurer: Anna Stankes

Anna is a fourth year chemical engineering major from Austin, TX. She has been playing flute for 11 years. Outside of EChO, she likes crocheting and biking around Austin

Librarians: Krish Agarwal and Alejandra Avalos-Belloso

Krish is a second-year computer science major from Cupertino, CA. He has been playing trombone for about 7 years and absolutely loves making music. He also enjoys spending time with friends and rewatching The Office too many times.

Alejandra is a second-year chemical engineering student who’s played trombone for the past 9 years. She is from Katy (outside of Houston), Texas but was born in El Salvador. She looks forward to working in the research and development side of cellular and bioprocess engineering within her major. Alejandra is a HUGE One Direction and Marvel fan, and she loves all things music and chemistry related.

Social Coordinator: Katrina Lowther

Katrina is a fourth-year Human Biology Student on the Pre-Med Track with an Interior Design Minor from Arlington, Texas. She has been playing the violin for 12 years and-sorta-loved every minute of it! In the future she hopes to become a primary care physician and improve healthcare equity and access regardless of socioeconomic class, race, or identity. Katrina’s favorite classical composer is Holst and in her free time she likes to watch movies, spend time with friends, thrift, draw, and read anything she can get her hands on.
