Office of Tax Analysis Fellowship Opportunity
The Treasury Department’s Office of Tax Analysis (OTA) is recruiting highly qualified, exceptionally talented individuals who have recently completed or are about to complete Bachelor’s degrees in economics, public policy, or other related fields. Junior Surrey Fellows will provide research and administrative support to the senior economists on the staff. They will be exposed to a complex variety of on-the-job experiences, developmental training, and they will gain first-hand knowledge of how tax policy is researched, written, and enacted in the Federal Government. The Bureau of Economics at the US Federal Trade Commission is seeking applicants for summer internships. Applicants must be US citizens, detail-oriented, highly motivated by the FTC’s antitrust and/or consumer protection mission, and show an interest in economics, mathematics, or statistics. American Enterprise Summer Institute
The American Enterprise Summer Institute brings together 25 select college undergraduates for an opportunity unlike any other in Washington, DC: a monthlong, fully-funded experience from June 17th-July 14th debating ideas about liberty and free enterprise and learning the principles and methods of public policy analysis. Oxfam America is accepting applications for the CHANGE Initiative, Oxfam’s national student leadership and organizing program. Deterrence Writing Award-Call for Papers!
The US Strategic Command of The Department of Defense invites you to submit a paper in the field of deterrence studies that demonstrates critical thinking on the theory and application of strategic deterrence. The author of the top two submissions will be invited to attend the 2012 US Strategic Command Deterrence Symposium on August 8th and 9th in Omaha, NE where they will be recognized and presented with their awards.
