Fieldwork

The Graduate Fellows and Faculty Affiliates of the Urban Ethnography Lab conduct research in countries around the world, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, England, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Libya, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Sweden, and the United States.

Members of the Urban Ethnography Lab use participant observation to unravel sociological questions across subfields, including political sociology and economic sociology, as well as studying social movements, gender and work, the state and its bureaucracies, among other topics.
