Summary: Farid is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. His main research interests have centered around probabilistic modeling, hazard and risk analysis, data mining, performance based earthquake engineering, and soil-structure interaction. He is currently working on vulnerability of Texas bridges to natural and Induced seismic hazards as a graduate research assistant (GRA) at The University of Texas at Austin.
