The Eighth International Conference on Geographic Information Science was recently hosted by Vienna University of Technology. This conference, held every two years is used to bring together international participants from academia, industry and government to discuss the most current and exciting topics in Geographic Information Science. The conference proceeding accepts full papers to be orally presented at the conference as well published in the proceedings. The procedure is competitive, and this year only 27% of papers were accepted for publication. Paul Holloway and Jennifer Miller’s uncertainty analysis of step-selection functions was one of these papers. Well done to Paul, and make sure you check out the article.
