We are a passionate group of students, postdocs, and faculty excited about improving healthcare through robotics. Would you like to join our team? Contact: Ann.MajewiczFey@utexas.edu. Lab meetings are on Zoom on Fridays from 10-11am. UT students are welcome to join to learn more about what we do.
PI: Ann Majewicz Fey
Ann Majewicz Fey completed B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the University of St. Thomas, the M.S.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Dr. Majewicz Fey joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Associate Professor in August 2020, where she directs the Human-Enabled Robotic Technology Laboratory. She holds at courtesy appointment in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School. Her research interests focus on the interface between humans and robotic systems, with an emphasis on improving the delivery of surgical and interventional care, as well as enhancing surgical skill training and assessment. Her research has been primarily supported by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award (2019) and the CRII award (2014).
