Preparing and distributing the ingredients for a holiday meal all in one day take a lot of volunteers to make it happen. FOOD DONATIONS (HFSA-Food-Drive-Flyer)
One of the most popular activities has been “donation drives” sponsored by individuals, departments and organizations. A donation drive can be a contest among several organizations to see which can gather the largest donations of food and or gift cards. or an individual decorating a box, placing it in a departmental office and encouraging colleagues to fill it with food items or gift cards. All provide needed resources for our program.
Please note that food donation drives should be held in time to allow for delivery and distribution during our program which takes place in early December. If you would like to host a food drive, please contact us at HFSA-HAC@utexas.edu for more information. Items we need are:

Gift cards should be treated the same as cash donations. It is suggested that the HEB gift card have a $10 value. If you do not feel comfortable placing gift cards in a donation box, please contact us at HFSA-HAC@utexas.edu to arrange for a pick-up.
