Membership in the Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association (HFSA) is open to faculty and staff employed at least 20 hours per week at The University of Texas at Austin, regardless of religion, age, race or color, marital status, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation. Retirees of the university are also eligible to join.
HFSA membership is effective Sept 1st to Aug 31st and includes general meetings, access to attend professional development or leadership symposium events, and voting at HFSA general elections.

Step 2. Select your preferred membership level.
- $20 Amigo/Amiga
- Includes all meetings and professional development.
- $30 Tío/Tía
- Includes all meetings, professional development, and a promotional item.
- $50 Padrino/Madrina
- Includes all meetings, professional development, a promotional item AND sponsors another member to join.
Step 3. Pay Membership Dues
You pay your HFSA dues online via credit card on the university’s website. You can select the amount you wish to donate as well as frequency (one-time, monthly, annual). If your department has professional development funds, you can ask them to pay your membership with an IDT.

- Search HFSA
- Add the amount you wish to pay on the right (example: $20, $30, $50 or whatever you wish) OR just follow one of these links based on membership level amount:
- Select if you want to give “one-time, monthly or annually”
- Enter Your Information
- Fill out your payment information
IDT Departmental Payment Instructions:
- Member asks department to pay for their membership
- Email us at HFSA@utexas.edu for specific instructions
Membership Sponsorship Instructions:
You can request to be sponsored (pending funding) by emailing us at HFSA@utexas.edu
