Ana Maria Cabezas holds a master’s degree in Health Psychology from Texas State University-San Marcos. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and EMDRIA certified therapist and a Registered Play Therapist. She has over five years of work experience with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse at SafePlace.

Samantha Guz graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology. Upon entering the MSSW program at the University of Texas at Austin, Samantha was able to being working with IDVSA as a research fellow.

Texas Statewide Prevalence Study and Cultivating Learning and Safe Environments (CLASE), Fellow 2015-2016

Rose Luna, Deputy Director at the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault, has been involved in the violence against women movement for over 10 years. Rose has also worked in direct services with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. She currently works on a state and national level to address public policy, training, and survivor centered-communication in regards to sexual violence.

Victim Notification Protocol, Fellow 2015-2016

Tori Smith is a Master of Science in Social Work candidate for the Community and Administrative Leadership track at the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. She is interested in domestic violence and sexual assault services for rural communities and hopes to pursue a career in program development and evaluation to close the gaps in services for this population.
