The iForty network was founded in April 2008 to build an organization for administrative and support staff at The University of Texas at Austin – staff who demonstrate the power of the individual by performing ongoing, high quality work in support of the mission of the university. We have two values at our core: the “i” represents the individual and the “Forty” represents the university campus. We believe administrative professionals can make a daily impact on campus through professional development and networking.
Our organization is composed by officers and committee members from across the UT Austin campus. These executive officers are responsible for the yearly program and education. For more information on how to get involved, read about our committee opportunities. If you’re interested in serving in next year’s executive committee, contact our officers.
iForty meetings are held once a month at a central location on campus and provide opportunities for training, mentoring and networking with other professionals across campus. These “Orange Bag” meetings are typically held during the lunch hour and focus on providing resources for improving members’ skills and abilities. Meetings are led by UT administrative professionals and feature occasional guest speakers from outside the UT community.
