Molly Platz, LMSW received her social work degree from UT Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Throughout her social work experience, Molly has worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, sexual health and education, adult mental health and peer support programming. Prior to moving to Austin, Molly lived in New York and split her time working at a mental health care non profit and a marketing agency. Molly currently serves as a Program Manager and Communications Specialist at The Institute for Military & Veteran Family Wellness, supporting a number of projects and initiatives meant to engage communities and ensure access to proven programs and supports.
In addition to her current role at UT Austin, Molly works as a program coordinator at EngenderHealth, a global organization supporting the empowerment of women and girls by delivering access to sexual and reproductive health information and services. Molly’s focus in this work is to collaborate with providers throughout Central Texas to ensure youth empowerment, healthy relationships and resource navigation. Molly feels passionate about resolving systematic barriers within communities to best serve marginalized populations in need of advocacy surrounding health, education and safety. Molly also serves as a communications consultant to nonprofits throughout Austin.
