Digital Humanities Curriculum Design/Redesign Dedicated Staff Support: provides UT faculty & doctoral student instructors dedicated support by LLILAS Benson Digital Scholarship staff to design/redesign a Latin American, U.S. Latinx, and/or African Diaspora Studies course scheduled for Summer 2019-Spring 2020 as a digital humanities course.

Digital Scholarship & Special Collections Spring Internship: provides a UT upper-division undergraduate or graduate student a paid opportunity to work closely with LLILAS Benson staff to support digital scholarship and special collection efforts. The internship program will be 10 hours a week for 15 weeks, with an hourly wage of $20 per hour.

Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowships: provides a $2,500 stipend plus a $500 expense allowance for a UT/non-UT graduate student or a non-UT Masters-level (or above) scholar to pursue research or teaching interests in Latin American, U.S. Latinx, or African Diaspora Studies using Benson collections and digital methods/platforms. Applicants must have previously consulted the collection(s) they are proposing to work with digitally. Two fellowships will be awarded. For one of the fellowships, special consideration will be given to proposals that are based on the Genaro Garcia Collection (Papers, Archives and Manuscript Collections, Photographs, Imprints and Images, and Broadsides and Circulars).

HILT Training Institute Scholarship: covers expenses of up to $1,000 for a Benson student worker or LAS student (upper-division undergraduate & graduate) to attend Humanities Intensive Learning & Teaching (HILT) training June 3-7, 2019 at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis.

Mellon Post-Custodial Archives Engagement Summer Grant: covers travel expenses of up to $3,000 for a UT faculty member or doctoral student to develop a proposal for a post-custodial archival project.
