Maansi is a second-year doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin studying under the mentorship of Professor Liberty Hamilton. Maansi received her bachelor’s degree in music from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she specialized in piano performance. In the Hamilton lab, her current research interests are in auditory neuroscience where she is investigating speech in the presence of noise. After graduate school, she hopes to conduct more research on speech and music perception as well as speech-in-noise to improve assistive hearing devices. In her free time, Maansi enjoys climbing, being outdoors, hanging out with friends, gardening in her backyard, and eating a lot of tacos. She is excited to be working at the Moody Writing Support Program and looks forward to working with you.
