The 3rd Real-time Functional Imaging and Neurofeedback conference was held in Nara, Japan from Nov 29th-Dec 1st, hosted by Mitsuo Kawato from ATR Japan. This conference, founded by Multimodal Neuroimaging Initiative member James Sulzer in 2012, is the premier international conference in the field of neurofeedback.
The rtFIN conference’s mission is to facilitate interdisciplinary communication within the neurofeedback community, including work in fMRI, fNIRS, EEG, TMS, and other neuroimaging modalities. The conference this year featured 250 attendees, 180 scientific abstracts, four workshops (including one by NIRx) and five Keynote speakers. In the picture below, Dr. Sulzer introduces a debate about how to model neuroplasticity induced by neurofeedback.
