The Multimodal Neuroimaging Initiative is a multi-college collaboration to support neuroscience research using low-cost and portable neuroimaging technology. Established in 2016, the Initiative was organized by 28 faculty from four colleges and the office of the Vice President for Research to facilitate the purchase of a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and electroencephalography (EEG) system. Since that time, we have launched several ongoing research projects across the fields of engineering, kinesiology, language science, and neurorehabilitation, among others.
If you are interested in applying for extramural funding and need information about our research facilities and equipment, see our Grant Support page.
If you would like to begin a new project with the Multimodal Neuroimaging Initiative, see our page on Reserving the NIRS system.
