SMID is the analytical bibliographical journal Studies in Mycenaean Inscriptions and Dialect, published yearly from 1953-1978 and compiled in two volumes by the late Lydia Baumbach, Studies in Mycenaean Inscriptions and Dialect 1953-1964 and Studies in Mycenaean Inscriptions and Dialect 1965-1978. SMID contained glossaries of individual Mycenaean terms, tablet and series citations, and subject indices all linked to bibliographical references. As a reference tool, SMID was both complex and comprehensive, with indices of linguistic, archaeological, historical, religious, and cultural topics, as well as individual words and phrases in the tablets.
The University of Texas Digital Repository is also proud to announce that we have electronic copies of all published volumes of SMID: access them here. Special thanks to Zachary Fischer for his work in digitizing and uploading the volumes.
