Aydin is a third-year medical student at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. He received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin Cockrell School of Engineering in 2016 and continues to apply the foundations of engineering and computer science to improve healthcare.
Since his undergraduate training, he has been involved in algorithm and device development to advance medical imaging and diagnostic techniques. Most recently, he is interested in making healthcare delivery more effective and efficient by using mathematical models and knowledge from industries outside of healthcare. His current project analyzes the stroke network response in Central Texas and identifies the potential for improvement in regions of our service area which may be predisposed to poor outcomes.
Aydin is also currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the McCombs School of Business and anticipates completing medical school and business school in May of 2020.
