Pre-Pharmacy Prerequisite Course Requirements
6 hours of General Biology: BIO 1330 & BIO 1331
4 hours of Microbiology: BIO 2400 (not BIO 2440)
3 hours of Genetics: BIO 2450
8 hrs of General Chemistry: (CHEM 1341/1141) & (CHEM 1342/1142)
8 hours of Organic Chemistry: (CHEM 2341/2141) & (CHEM 2342/2142)
3 hours of Calculus: MATH 2321 or 2471
3 hours of Statistics: MATH 2328
3 hours of Freshman Rhetoric and Composition: ENG 1310
3 hours of Sophomore Literature: ENG 2310, 2320, 2330, 2340, 2359, 2360, 2370, or 2380
4 hours of Physics: PHYS 1315/1115
Microbiology (including laboratory) must have one year of general biology and at least one semester of general chemistry as its prerequisite in order to satisfy our four credit hour microbiology requirement. This course should be directed to a pre-pharmacy & pre-med audience, not allied health science majors.
