Rotation Manuals – September 28, 2015

Dear 2015-16 preceptor faculty,

Over the next several weeks, I will be providing you with tips that I hope you will find helpful as you precept P4 students over the course of the year, whether you are a new preceptor or a seasoned one. I hope you received the first message sent out last week! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your regional director or me.

This particular message will highlight the rotation manuals.

The requirements for each type of rotation are available electronically via the following links if you don’t happen to be in the View Assignments page in PhIRST (covered last week)

Acute Care

Advanced Community

Advanced Hospital

Ambulatory Care

In each manual (webpage) you will see links to the evaluation and hour sheet in PhIRST, a list of required activities, supplemental forms needed for certain activities, and the Course Syllabus and Guidelines. The course syllabus is the policies and procedures document for the entire P4 year governing student participation, and providing guidelines and information for preceptors.

More to come next week!
