INTERNSHIP FACILITIES

The following is not a comprehensive listing of all training sites in the DFW region:

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING WHERE TO LIVE

The DFW Regional Program utilizes a wide variety of sites from a geographic perspective. Because of the wide geographic distribution of sites and the size of the metropolitan area, students should plan on an average commute of 45-60 minutes to their assigned sites. When choosing temporary housing, students should look for centralized locations with easy freeway access. Students should avoid locations on the periphery of the DFW metro area,

SUMMARY

The DFW Regional Program offers a variety of sites and training opportunities for students. The diversity of sites and preceptors is clearly one of the strong points of the program. Another strong point is the exposure that students are afforded to potential employers in the area. These strong points, along with the cultural and entertainment opportunities in the Dallas / Fort Worth metropolitan area, make the DFW Region an excellent choice for students when choosing a region for their experiential rotations.
