Daniel Hernandez, Advanced Community Practice Coordinator


Daniel Hernandez, R.Ph.

Daniel Hernandez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992 with a BS in Pharmacy. He is currently a Pharmacy Manager for Texas Oncology-Harlingen and a relief pharmacist for WalMart. 

Mr. Hernandez is a Preceptor and the Community Coordinator for the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in the Rio Grande Valley Region. Mr. Hernandez serves on the Regional Advisory Council for University of Texas Rio Grande Valley / University of Texas College of Pharmacy Cooperative Program. Mr. Hernandez is a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association and Kappa Psi.

Mr. Hernandez was awarded the Wal-Mart Community Pharmacist of the Year Award for the Texas-Louisiana-Georgia Region in 1999 and then again in 2000. Mr. Hernandez was awarded the 2000 University of Texas College of Pharmacy Alumni Association Arlyn Kloesel Outstanding Preceptor Award.

Mr. Hernandez lives in Harlingen, TX with his wife Clarissa, who is also a pharmacist, and his three sons Marcelo, Gabriel, and Diego . Mr. Hernandez enjoys running, reading, and listening to jazz.
